We are a family run business specialising in cleaning and repairing Persian and other Oriental rugs, kilims and carpets.

We now have two workshops: one in Rugby (Warwickshire) and one in Scotland and each year we clean and repair over 1000 rugs and carpets. We are able to carry out all types of work from routine cleaning and repairs to sides and fringes to full restoration of antique and silk rugs following years of neglect or accidental damage like floods and fires.

We provide a full collection and delivery service and this is available almost across the whole of the UK.

This service is always free and always done by our own staff and not couriers or third party van drivers

Rug Cleaning

All rugs are always cleaned by us by hand and using traditional methods and techniques. This can be a slow and very labour intensive process, and under no circumstances can be done in situ, but it is the only way to achieve thoroughly clean rugs. 

We clean around 1000 handmade rugs each year and we know how to handle and clean all kinds of contemporary and antique rugs including the most delicate pieces.

Persian

We clean all types of new and antique Persian/Iranian rugs, kilims and carpets

Rug Repair and Restoration

From simple repairs to edges and fringes to full restorations of moth or pet damaged rugs and carpets- we are able to carry out all types of work in our workshops. Frequent projects include:
– fringe repairs and replacements
– repairs to sides/cords
– repairs to threadbare and worn patches
– repairs of holes, tears and splits
– repairs of moth, pet and accidental damage

We also:
– restore flood and fire damaged rugs
– alter and resize rugs
– prepare rugs for hanging on walls

Fringe Repair and Replacements

We can repair the existing fringes, reinstate any missing ones or even replace the whole lot

Side/Cords Repair

We can re-bind/whip the damaged edges or even re-build any missing parts

Holes and Tears Repair

We can reweave any missing holes, whether caused by moths, dogs or excessive wear. We can also fix tears and splits

Moths and Pet damage Repair

Any part of the rug affected by moths and dogs can be restored to its former glory by us

Threadbare Areas Repair

Any threadbare or excessively worn areas can be fully restored by us

Full Restorations

Full restorations are the most exciting projects, the rugs end up looking their best again and it's the most satisfying part of our jobs

"The quality of the repair to our badly damaged Kachan rug is astounding. Although a large corner (50 cm x 80 cm) was completely destroyed by putrefaction, neither my wife, nor my son, nor myself were able to tell which corner was the one which had been repaired!
